Drop Help- Went to low

3 Attachment(s)
Dropped the blazer yesterday with 3" springs and 3" spindles in the front and a flip out back. I can't get my 295-50-15 to clear up front and they barely clear in the back. I was thinking for the front I have a set of springs in my silver chev also pictured below that were cut one coil. So if I switch them around that might take care of issue for the front. But what can I do in the back and still have the flip on there????? I have maybe an inch and a half of clearance from frame to axle. I want to notch it down the road but not yet. Please help with ideas or solutions to my problem.

In the rear, you could change out the stock leaf springs with a set of leafs from a '95 4wd 2 door Tahoe. It will lift the rear roughly 2". You can thank Travis for that info, but he is dead on. I have the springs out of the Blazer now and the 4wd Tahoe spring, and with a flip it doesn't actually lower it as much... Who would have guessed?

Re: Drop Help- Went to low

Just scored a set of leaf springs off a 95 Tahoe 4wd 2dr for $80 at the local junkyard and they are pulling them. Probably going to put some stock coils with 1 cut coil in the front to see if I can clear the 295's. I could switch to a smaller tire size but I love the way my truck looked with those fat 295's on all four corners. Thanks Guys and thanks Trav about the leafs

I did the beltech coils and spindles on my blazer.... I had no real problems running 295/50-15 on the front after i clearanced the a-arms a little. I had 8" wide rims, dont know back spacing right now

Do you have any pics? The top of the fender well is rubbing the top/sidewall of the tire. By clearance the a arm your meaning???

the out edge on the lca's will drag on most 15" rims when using a 3" drop spindle
mine would rub on the wheel weights before I trimmed them back

OK, Thank u all for the info and encouragement. I picked up the leafs from the tahoe and going to try a set of stock coils with 1 coil cut to see what I end up with. Hope to have it done in the next couple of days weather permitting.

The 95-99 leafs will drop the blazer how much then? Have a chance to pick up a set. Is this a direct replacement with no shackles or flip kit? And how much will it lower the rear from stock height?

The 95-99 leafs will RAISE the rear, not drop it. They help with a flip to reduce the amount of drop and make it possible to do a flip without requiring a notch. A small notch is still recomended even with the taller springs. From what i've seen a flip combined with the 95 leafs equals about a 3 to 4 inch drop in the rear.

Ok so I got the 95 springs in but didn't put the axle saddles in correctly. Well correct for the flip but with the different springs I needed to compensate by installing the saddle with the hole facing the rear. Before reversing the saddle the axle was not centered in the wheel well. After flipping it around it brought the axle forward centering it in the wheel well. Now all i have to do is take the springs out of the front and cut off another half a coil as there is only a 1/2 a coil cut off stock springs. I am just looking to lose one more inch by doing that. If I can just do that I will happy with the stance. Thanks for all the help and special shout out to Trav for all the help!

Got the springs out, cut and reinstalled. Now I am happy with the stance. Now I get to trim the lower control arms that are getting caught on the lip of the wheels that i want to run so for now sportin the rallies.
