I can't help you with BBC Hooker headers, but every hooker header I have used weather it being Super Comps or just Comps on 2 wheel drives, 4x4s or cars they have had excellent fitment and without a doubt worth the money. On the 78-88 G-body cars (Monte Carlos, Malibu etc.) Hooker even tells you where to dimple the header for the motor mounts on certain years, still a great fit.

Hooker Headers are the cats behind... Great products. I have never had an issue with any of them. I've used Comps, and Super Comps in GM A bodies and GM trucks...

Thats awesome! Its nice to see a new Hooker fan! What's the toughest spark plug to get to on a bbc with Hookers?

Re: Has anyone tried these headers?

None really< these are the comps. I don't know about the super comps. I was conserned about the 2" primaries. I only thing that i need to work on is moving the trans lines and getting a heat shield for the starter. I already moved the pass side brake line that is behind the sub frame. That sticks out inside the frame rail. It was going to be to close to the header.

looks nice. I was planning on thorleys, the real ones, not his ex wifes ones.

May reconsider

Do you have a shot of how far they hang below the frame?

x2, shopping for headers myself, and that seems to be the catch with most.

Re: Has anyone tried these headers?

Sorry guys, i have been out of town for work. I will send some pictures, i have the power steering tore out right now. I have a new powersteering pump coming on Tuesday. I will post some new ones next weekend. The only thing that i need to work on was the new trans lines. I'm going to have to run flex line. I'm going to have to get a heatshield for the starter. I was going to get the supercomps. I was afraid the 2" primary tubes were going to be too big.

Re: Has anyone tried these headers?

I ran el cheapo headers in my burb for years, they were always a headache to work with.
Purchased a set of Super Comps, and I was very impressed with the fit. They just slid right in for me, where as the cheapo models I had to fight with to remove/install.

I no longer run them (went for the stock approach), but still have them. You never know, and I liked them so much I can't seem to get rid of them.

Good choice!
