ECE Adjustable Tracking Bar

1 Attachment(s)
Hey I just got my ECE adjustable tracking bar that was on backorder for a 4/6 drop. The new bar is considerably larger and I was wondering if this is the right one. This is the original next to the new.

Looks like the wrong bar. The earlier ones were longer like your new one.

So you think the original is too short? Didn't appear to be. Here's some more pics. The total length of the new bar is about 3ft (1 foot longer than the original).

Looks like they sent you a "super track bar" It goes from the stock frame mount to the right trailing arm.

What year truck are you installing on? If you purchased the ECE 4/6 drop kit, then it includes the super track bar kit which will have the pieces necessary to mount that longer panhard bar to the rightside trailing arm. This helps lower the bars mounting point and corrects angle with a 4/6 drop.

Thats right. The original bar connects to the eye on the top of the axle center-section. The new, longer bar will give you better geometry. FYI, have the new bar in place before you do a C-notch. The guy who did mine didn't account for the track bar so my frame will sit on top of the bar when it's aired-out.

Ok thanks. I didn't know this one went to the trailing arm. Maybe I should've looked at the instructions in this sealed up bag  but who does that...

I've seen and heard from everyone that you don't need to notch the frame with an ECE 4/6?

Don't worry about notching the frame with ECE 6 inch drop. I've had a bunch of them and never notched one yet. They ride fine and still allow a reasonable payload.
