Who's running power windows?
What kit did you buy? Was it a straight bolt in? What was the difficulty? Show some pics especially of the switches....
I would like to do mine and keep the wing windows, just looking for a good direction to go into, want something that looks clean. Smitty |
Re: Who's running power windows?
I haven't gotten mine, but when I do, I'm going to get electric life power windows kits with Auto loc window swtiches. They allow you to use the original window crank to actuate the windows.....pretty cool I think.

Re: Who's running power windows?
another vote for electric life.:agree:

x3 for Electric life. I have a set of their bolt in kits for my 71, all I did was mock them up but seems like a slick kit with no real issues.... |
Re: Who's running power windows?
Would like to see some pics if possible....

Re: Who's running power windows?
I used the bolt in A1 power window kits with my brothers one peice glass, and then used the post style switch to use my original style window cranks!

Re: Who's running power windows?
Looks good John,
Would that kit work with wing windows? I am not going the one piece route on this truck. Smitty |
Re: Who's running power windows?
John, can you tell us more about the post switches? I hadn't seen those before but am very interested in learning more.
Thanks! |

Re: Who's running power windows?
I don't have them, but here's a link to Nu-Relics site. These are made specifically for 67-72 trucks, and they also offer the window crank switch as well as the switches from that era. Lifetime guarantee.

Re: Who's running power windows?
Yea, the power window kit works with original windows (with wing) as well.
do a search for "window switches crank handles" and you will get a few hits. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HFM-EWS-2 for example. |
Re: Who's running power windows?
we are a NuRelics dealer. Best kit on the market IMO. And LIFETIME warranty, does not get better than that. We just installed a set in a 70 Firebird and have a set sitting here for my Blazer

Re: Who's running power windows?
I would also go with A1 Electric :metal:

Re: Who's running power windows?
Dont get the cheap one from LMC. I have been through three sets. Everytime one goes out on me LMC sends me another set free. I have the fourth set in the basement, still in the box.

Re: Who's running power windows?
Thanks all to who replied, I have emailed NU Relics and see what they offer, It looks like A1 and Electric life offer the same regulators with A1 being alot cheaper. Unless there is something missing in the add....

x4 for Electric Life, easy install, bolts right up. I used the newer window switches that are lit for mine.
