front pass. side brakes lock up
i was driving my truck last week and the wheel kept pulling to the right when i hit the brakes so i thought it was the caliper, so i replaced it, and bled the brakes and it was the same. still locks up, stays that way until i crack the bleeder,, then it frees up till i hit the brakes again. my friend told me its probably the rubber line that connects to the caliper collapsing which locks in the line pressure to the brakes. he checked the wheel bearings and there fine, no play and wheel spins freely when its jacked up and pressure is cracked at the bleeder. do u guys think its the rubber hose or could it be something else?

Re: front pass. side brakes lock up
How old are the lines? If you can't answer, replace them.

Re: front pass. side brakes lock up
I had the same thing happen to me.
I converted from drums to disc and man. to power and had a rubber seal that wasnt needed stuck between MC and booster |
Re: front pass. side brakes lock up
Replace the rubber brake hoses that go to the calipers.
They collapse on the inside, and you can't tell it. My guess is the driver's side brake line is collapsed,... and it's sending all the brake fluid to the passenger side caliper,... making it lock up. |

the trucks been sitting on the side of my dads house off the road since 2006 and i cant even remember the last time he had the brakes done to be honest lol
