Dropping a 72 stepper
 

I have a 72 stepside but don't know if the front suspension is original. It has disk brakes and I've already installed the 3" drop springs in the front and flipped the rear leafs to the bottom out back. The back looks nice and low but the front needs to come down more. I want to put in the drop spindles for the front but don't know if I can keep my lowered coils. Will the lowered coils work with the 2" drop spindles? I see that CPP is a preferred vendor for the spindles. Any suggestions? Also, I am wanting to run 20" wheels on the back and 18" in the front. I'm a beginner at this so please go easy on me.

if i were you i would go with CPP i have had good luck with all of their products, if you bought their new Modular drop spindles it would also narrow you front track a couple of inches allowing you to tuck inside the fenderwell instead of being flush with the outside of the fender, oh and yes you can run your drop springs also

Agreed..... CPP is a board supporting vendor & offer 2" spindles that help minimize interference when dropping a truck. They have had some customer service issues that are documented in the 'Review' section of the site.

Look for boardmember Jeff from CPP (CPPJEFF) as he has personally taken on the task of supporting the customer base from this site.
