under hood ac pics?
 

i need some pics of the ac compressor and where the hoses and all that go under the hood. i will be getting mine fixed for the summer and when i took it out i didnt take pics or anything thanks in advaance guys

Do you know of a good cheap place to get all the parts under the hood. I bought the truck and the person took all the A/C stuff off. I still have the canister and the cooler by the radiator but none of the hoses or compressor.

Go to O'Reillys or Autozone. You cane get everything but the "liquid line" that goes from the evaporator to the dryer. You may have to find one in a yard and have the ends fabbed up on a new one from an AC shop.

here is mine, seems I have a different compressor than most, might be because of the 454, or that my truck is fuel injected and not carburated. Hope they help.

Different years of trucks from the 80s route the hoses differently. My '86 routes them across the engine but earlier ones go across the fan shroud. You should be able to use whichever one you like best.

Green and black is what mine are.

Line routing has mainly to do with age and then engine, FI or carb should be irrelevant. I know between the 84 we have here, and my 87 (which is FI like a stock 87 should be) the lines are identical as is the routing. Can't compare to the 79 since it is a nonAC truck.
