bumber swap from a 73-80 to a 81-Up, any possible problems?

Hello guys, I have a 74 C-10 swb and put a 81-Up front bumper on it and had to do a little work to my frame and massage my wrecked fenders, I plan on putting new or good used fenders on in the coming months. I want to know if anybody has done this all ready and ran into some problems or if straight (non-wrecked) fenders will not interfere with the newer style bumpers. Please show pics if anyone was successfully done this swap. So far I've only seen my older truck w/ a newer bumper on it, but then again i don't get out much. So please any info is good info to me.

Don't bother. The bumper will not quite fit around the early style fenders.. Don't cut your frame to find this out. You can change the whole front end to the 81-87 style but again I wouldn't bother.

I'm going to mod the new fenders to make it work because I really like the newer style bumpers, do you know if the rear bumper will fit fine
