I put my 4 gauge through where the rest of the wires go through, near/under brake booster

Mine comes in through the fire wall by where the heater hoses snake their way in. Its actually just under the a/c box.

I would run it from the battery down the frame to the drain plug then under the rug and up the firewall. i did this with my CB.

I came through the firewall and ran it along the tunnel hump. Just high enough that water wouldn't be a problem and jus below the top edge of the carpet.

I went under the truck and up through a hole I drilled in the floor, I hate running wires through the firewall in my truck, always a PITA.

Re: Amp line through firewall, where did you drill?

I just ran into this problem 2 days ago, my '82 had a nice open grommet by the fusebox with a hundred wires or so all running through it and i just made it 101 lol.

My '91 Blazer didn't have anywhere to run it through except 1 grommet with a single wire running through it and a plug, it also was next to the fusebox. out of necessity i pulled the plug out a bit and squeezed, and i mean squeezed the amp wire through next to it.

I did the same thing. if you do this, you dont have to try to hide a big power wire under your carpet... you can always see em. my amp is under my console so i just drilled a hole in the floor like 4 inches away from where it connects to the amp. I also used one of those watertight bulkhead connectors.
