Starter Heat Soak???

Hi, Last few days my 78 292ci has been having a hard time starting when its warm. I thought the battery died yesterday but went to start it this morning and it fired right up. It is charging well too. How hot does it need to get before it causes heat soak? If it heat soak any easy ways to stop it? Maybe the starter is failing? The battery in it is probably too small so I wonder if that would also do it? I am having a hard time believing its heat soak because I have had things A LOT hotter in other cars and never had a problem. Thanks for the help. CoryM

You can get that symptom if the drive end bushing in the starter is bad [worn] A 50 cent item. Use the starter armature as a driver with a rubber hammer to install new bushing after removing old one. Good luck WC
