need help with Cali smog
 

I have a question for all you cali guys out there.I have a 1987 burb (diesel ) I live in NJ right now but just got a house in Corona ca.I was told that there is no smog check because it is a diesel.Is this true?

nope u dont need to smog your truck if its a ture diesel

Exactly what Chavy said.... your lucky too.. cuz not too many guys like, or know how to mess with square-body carbs anymore, to pass smog.. :ito:

its true, but if it werent, its nothing a short trip to LA cant fix. advance welcome from cali!

Scooter, welcome to SoCal. If you register your 'Burb as a diesel in CA and decide to drop in a gas engine, you are still smog-exempt since the DMV recognizes your vehicle as diesel-powered.

Cool so I can drop in a 383 and still not worry about smog? got to love it!!!!!!
