Anybody have any experience with the BBC Weiand 174 or 256 supercharger?

I was thinking about running one of these on my BBC 502 crate motor. Just wondering if anyone had any experience with these. I will either be going this route or do a nice set of heads and another cam. Truck will be driven atleast 4 times a week to work and back but nothing crazy.

Like the power but I just don't want anything hanging out of my hood....don't mind them hearing it just don't want it seen. I loved the pro-street look growing up but I'm doing a pro-touring style build.

should do pretty good, have a promod guy down the street from me, had 2 motors built basically the same with a 174 on both, one was for a car he built and one for his towing rig. Both were 496s, made around 750hp on pump gas. I wouldnt complain about that.

Sounds good...I was gonna do another cam and just slap on the 174 or 256 and dial it in. It's just for a fun daily driver. I don't need a procharger to be spinning up crazy rpms up top I like it right off idle. I have a 600hp Turbo Escalade so I know about forced induction. If I was gonna procharge it would be on my 08' Z06 only. Thanks for answering what I asked about ProStreet68SB!

Wow...:banghead: Guys I know about the procharge systems, kenny belle, vortech, all of the above. Not trying to build a 800 horse beast I was just asking about the oldschool roots style. I know it would be easy to slap a procharger on it. Just want a nice street torque monster it will never see the track or go pass 6000 rpms...

Tom is your truck just a street truck? If so how does it pull and act and what kinda rpms do you normally see with the F1? I maybe very wrong about what I'm am thinking as far as it being a daily driver. I'd like to hear a little input from you since you actually run the set up. Thanks in advance...
