Windshield Washer pump
 

Anyone know where to get a decent one of the old cam driven style pumps? The pump I got from LMC on my '74 loses prime, pumps randomly when the wipers are on but nothing sprays out of the nozzles and sounds terrible.

I had the same issues, I put a small amount of Vaseline in the "piston" bore and so far it has been working great.... well, it is still a little loud, but it works!

I'll have to take mine off, when you turn on the wipers the pump randomly tries to pump and sounds terrible even without pushing in the wiper switch for washer fluid. I'm not sure if the cam inside is messed up or not. It never worked right from day one either.

I bought a GM unit for my 78 at the local dealer. Piece of junk. Bought a unit from J.C. Whitney and it still works like a charm.
