Power Brake Conversion 71 Cheyenne
My 71 is in need of a new master cylinder. I bought this truck new without power brakes. I'm trying to decide if I want to convert to power brakes, or just replace the master cylinder. If I decide to convert to power brakes, who sells a booster/master cylinder that looks like factory?

Hey Eddie,
First off..:welcome2: to the boards!!!...I use to live in K-ville...off of Union Cross Rd and I-40 bypass..... you can try our board vendors like 'mbgmike'...'CPPJeff' (he's with CPP)....or there is a local company close to us here in NC...MBM Brakes (http://www.mbmbrakeboosters.com/)....I have the 8" dual diaphram, MC and p valve from them...they even gave me a 10% discount for being a NC resident (ask for it!!!:D) |
Re: Power Brake Conversion 71 Cheyenne
Thanks for the reply Geoff. I live in the Union Cross area on Watkins Ford Rd. I'll check out some of the board vendors. I'm leaning towards adding power brakes, but really want the closest thing to factory. I'm also taking into consideration that at some point I'll rebuild the engine a little hotter, so I have vacuum concerns.
