Re: payload capacity

I probably wouldn't go much more then 1,100-1,200 in bed or whatever the tires are rated to. but that's just my non-pro opinion.

Re: payload capacity

My brother has been hauling 220 gallons of water to his field almost twice a week in my old man's '71 4x4. Just the 1/2 ton stock suspension and stock leafs. It squats pretty good but it has no problem doing it. He goes at least one time a week and been doing it for a year, around 12 mile round trip. So water at 8 lbs. a gallon times 220 thats around 1700 lbs plus 100 lbs of hose and water pump. Just my .02
