Factory take-off Super Cheyenne tailgate
 

I've had several take-off gates through the years, but never one this nice or with this much chrome. This gate is nearly flawless; no dents, no dings, not full of deep factory spot-welds, incredible original paint with just a few small chips, undercoated inside when new and still had dealer sticker.
This gate was stored on end for 40 years and this is where the only flaws lie. The gate end has some surface rust (comes off easily with naval jelly, but did not want to remove the band to address that immediate area) and one of the end details on the tailgate band is corroded (see pics). I honestly think a little silver solder could take care of this issue easily. The upper chrome and handle chrome is excellent. The band is excellent except the for the flaw mentioned above and some very light speckles in the chrome letters. I have not spent any time detailing this gate. I washed it, used some polishing wax on the letters and that was it. This thing is just incredible and I consider it better than an NOS find, because of the hardware and chrome. If someone is willing to pay my asking price, I'll throw in the factory hinges as well. Price is $900 + $100 shipping.
