56 inch rear springs?

Can someone please tell me if the locating pin is in the center of the 56 inch rear springs? Also, anyone know what the spring rate is for these? Thanks

i think the front mount stays in the same location on the 56s and the rear gets moved back.

Nope,

the shackle stays put and the hanger is different. On a 52" spring the axle locating pin is in the center (26" either way). On a 56" spring it is 26" from rear and 30" from front.

You sure Ervin?

My 1-ton measures 26" from front eye to pin, and 30" from pin to rear eye.

Whoops! Excuse my dumbness. U2 you are correct. I have been through so much lately with my leaf springs I turned it around in my mind.

Anyway, the pin's not in the center.

I'll be OK, I think.
