5.3/4l80e conversion questions?
 

hey guys,
I need some info on this conversion for my 57 chevy 1/2 ton, my biggest concern is I want to keep the stock 5.3 mechanical fan and use my stock radiator and fan shroud. Is anyone runniging this setup. I see alot of people doing this conversion but they are going to electric fans which i dont want to do. Any advice as to what motormounts I should use, I was looking at this from CPP any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You may have to fab the mounts so the fan will sit into the shroud correctly. There is a FAQ on this board about swaping to lsx engines. It has a lot of answers to a lot of questions. You will need to fab a rear mount as well.

Check my build thread, i'm using electric fan with original style rad and fab my own shroud for my 5.3 conversion.
