Saw this on Craigslist today..
This truck being parted out had a NBS rear bumper on a C-10. Has anyone here done this. What do you think?

Re: Saw this on Craigslist today..
I don't like the bumper itself on my 88 truck but I actually think from the back is matches great, the end contours match the truck bed contours on bottom. I think the w/t style/one without impact strip would work better IMO. That and maybe have the diamond plate inserts on top that are sold on ebay instead of the black plastic.

Re: Saw this on Craigslist today..
It's just the design of the bumper but it is actually made for the 73-87 box. My brother bought an 81' truck back in 97' that had one on it. I asked the guy we bought it from how he fitted it and he said it was made for the square body and not the newer trucks. Can't remember the brand though.

Re: Saw this on Craigslist today..
Somebody needs to measure it then and compare it to the newer style trucks to see what they are.
fyi I seen along time ago in jcwhitney what you are talking about, they had the reg. step bumpers and then the contoured step bumpers. I bet that's what it was. |

Re: Saw this on Craigslist today..
When i had my '82, about 2 years ago, i went to a pick and pull and there was one on an '85. It no longer had the bed on it but it looked like it fit really well.

Re: Saw this on Craigslist today..
Well, I got an old bumper like that one off my 91 I had. I was gonna see what it looked like on my 76 since I dont like the roll pan thats on it now. Looks pretty good.

Re: Saw this on Craigslist today..
I saw a guy do a swap like this one on another site and he had to cut the ends off and trim the length a little on each side, then weld the ends back on.
