with everything ive done to my blazer in the last 14 month.. i should have done a build thread. heres a some pics of the new gauge cluster, tilt stanless column and steering wheel. o and the 2006 chevy leathers. just finished the wiring.. well most of it, enough to get it back on the road. im waiting on the rest of the firewall insulation to re-install the heater and finish up the wiring. then get started on the stereo and center console and back side panels. the stereo is going to be sick!! all boston speakers and subs. alpine amps and deck. its going to have atleast 6 speakers with mid/highs and 2 12 in subs.

Great looking blazer! On the current door panels, what was used to hold them in?

That's very nice - how do you like those seats? I've got somewhat similar seats in my 69 K20 which makes the cab very tight, but I imagine they work a lot better in a K5.

i love the seats, bought them for 200 bucks. cant go wrong with that. im 6'4 and a bit tall and i have enought room. i did move the steering column/wheel closer to the gauges too though. the biggest thing is the seat belt in the seat. i hate the old lap belts. im going to keep my eyes open for some with power, maybe from a caddy. i need to figure something out for the back seat aswell. any ideas :)

i used u joints to do the steering, instead of the old rag joint setup. wish i got one of the u joints with the vibration deader. i dont like feeling vibration in the steering.. think i will buy one of those from flaming river for 170 bucks and heres a pic for yukon jack of the leg room i get with the seats pushed all the way back.

im not sure how much closer the column/steering wheel is to the dash but here's a pic. i put a collapsable steering rod in and move the steering wheel/column closer to the dash until it felt better then bolted everything up. in the event of a accident theres still room in the steering rod to collapse
