I got hitched in my 86!
 

I got married this weekend. Drove to the church in my truck and I cruised on out of there with my wife riding in the middle next to me. Ive owned the truck for 12 years, drove it in high school when my wife and I started dating (we even had our first date in it!), drove it to college, and finally rebuilt it when I graduated. Its been done for about 4 years now, Ive put about about 25,000 miles on it since then. Ive turned every single bolt on this truck myself and painted it too. I figured you guys would appreciate it.

its actually an old cavalier color from the early nineties. I forget the name, but it was a single stage paint from Nason.

I inherited an 86 from my father-n-law a few weeks ago.
It is blue, too. What engine is in yours? Manual shift?
Mine is 3 on the column. Learning that was a trip.
Got it home fine (80 miles) on my first drive.
Once in the driveway it locked up in first gear and had to sit there till I read how to get it out of first the next day. Looking forward to rebuilding and repainting it too.

The interior is the only thing thats not really finished. I got a new bench out of my buddys wrecked dump truck and I put on some lmc door panels, waiting to find a new dash.

I blew up the first three I had in there, (the original, one out of an old modified car, and another stocker) so I screwed this one together myself. Its a 75 small block with just a clean up bore, a valve job, keith black pistons, performer cam, intake, and carb with some cheap headers. Ive got 2.5 pipes with flowmasters and thats about it. The motor is nothing special but it moves pretty good for an old pickup. I plan on dropping a diesel in a few years, either duramax or cummins...whatever i find first.
