Project MONSTER
5 Attachment(s)
Project MONSTER is now finally underway. The first stage is what I call the poor mans customization. I plan on finding a set of stock rims and painting them grabber green. I have already started to sand the paint off and will repaint it flat black. Then I want to use a stencil I made to put monster energy emblems on each door and possibly the tailgate once I get a band for it. Here is what I plan on it looking like (sorry for the crappy rendering all I don't have photoshop so I had to use paint. This may not be updated very much but I will try to continue to keep updates

Those rims look awfully familiar.

Any more pictures of that hood? Looks homemade.

Re: Project MONSTER
I think it will be cool! I would make the logo bigger like in your rendering! or even a little bigger.

Re: Project MONSTER
Lot of overspray on the door but it looks good otherwise. My sister's boyfriend would love it, they both pretty much live off of it too lol.

Re: Project MONSTER
The wheels are mine and they do have EGAs on the center caps. I don't care that you used them, whats that saying imitation is the best form of flaterry(sp) or something like that. I was just messing around.

Re: Project MONSTER
Interesting concept. I will be watching this one. BTW, I can relate to the poor mans thing.

Re: Project MONSTER
I'm thinking about going in a slightly different direction and putting a step bed on it. My brother has one that his wife won't let him keep so he's going to give it to me. I don't know how it would look but I like the concept in my head lol.

Well folks, I got the step bed from my brother. Now it's just sitting in my moms backyard waiting till my truck is running again to come put it on.

Nice score on the bed! I love this model of stepside. I had a 77 that I still miss.

Re: Project MONSTER
great concept and can't wait to see the end product.

Re: Project MONSTER
Monster huh...... maybe I will make a moonshine inspired truck since I drink it about every other weekend... haha maybe not.... Different strokes for different folks... My advice is to CLEAN what you have up to the best of your ability and make it looks a nice as possible for little money, THEN worry about energy drink logos on the doors.

Re: Project MONSTER
As with all my projects I have ever had I am thinking about going another direction. I was thinking of going all black. No chrome, no emblems. What do you guys think?

Keep it MONSTER!

Re: Project MONSTER
The Monster concept seems cliche. If you're considering going all black, maybe a rat rod inspired look would work for you.
