I,ve never come across a paint scheme like the 2 tone on a 72 on a 80,s model,I like the roof all white.Just wondering why not or just haven,t look hard enough

73-87 roofs were never ALL white, unless it was an all wite truck. The front pillars and front of the door were the other color...see the two examples above.

I know they were never all white,I was just wondering if anyone has a pic of the 72 paint on a 80,s,maybe I,ll send it over to photoshop

Shouldn't be too hard to imagine.

The difference is pre-73 doors had a 2pc shell so there was a 'hard-line' that made it easy to break up the different colors. Post-73 doors have 1pc shells so you need something to help separate the 2 colors (pinstripe, etc....).
