Re: Wow...

 There have been a bunch of "LeBronfires" with people burning jerseys, t-shirts, anything with his name on it. My favorite was the LeBron Fathead -- Fatheads are the life-size poster things you stick on your wall. Dan Gilbert, the Cavs owner, also owns Fathead. He reduced the price of LeBron's Fathead from $99.99 to $17.41...because 1741 is the year Benedict Arnold was born:lol:

That's right Big Al...should be another parade in South Beach next summer...

Been a Heat fan since the days of Hardaway, Mashburn, Majerle, Mourning, et al...so I have to keep pinching myself. I do feel bad for Cleveland, though.

Honestly, did the people of cleveland really expect LeBron to stay in The Armpit of the Midwest?

bwa-ha-ha :haha:

It's not that he left, It's how he left.
& there are a lot worse places to live than Cleveland.... Ever been to Detroit?

Well, I could care less about basketball,so I'm no expert.
But,from everyone I've talked to that is,tells me that ESPN show was not it.

Art Modell snuck the Browns out in the middle of the night.
James dragged it out & out & out & out.
Which I think hurt the fans worse.

my opinion?... Get rid of all of 'em
the Browns, the Cavs & the Indians.
Cleveland & N.E. Ohio would be better off.

Re: Wow...

So, let me make sure I got this right ... the former owner of Cleveland's football team moved them out, unannounced, in the middle of the night and Cleveland is ok with this.

But LeBron James announced his decision to move to Miami at a Boys & Girls Club while it was broadcast simultaneously on ESPN (a SPORTS channel - imagine that? ) and donated money to the national Boys and Girls Club charity and Cleveland has a problem with it?

Give me a break ... he gave Cleveland 7 years. Nut up & get over it already.

LOL ... win the championship next year ... they'll be lucky to win more than half their games. :haha:

Re: Wow...

Uh,
I don't think any browns fans were "O.K." with Modell leaving like that either.

All I was trying to say was that I thought both Art & James
could have done it much better.
Somewhere in the middle, between sneaking off in the night & dragging it out
for weeks & weeks.

But, again, I could care less.
I'm way more worried about our government (& it's ignorant citizens)
slowly crippling the economy & turning a once thriving nation into a.....

Oops, sorry, didn't mean to hijack the thread.
Don't want to get banned.
I like the fact there's no political forum here, maybe I shouldn't talk
sports either.

Stepping off my soap box & shutting up now.:hm:

I'm with you dnorris. Raising all that money for the B&G clubs was a nice touch, but he still could have found a way to do that without breaking the hearts of an entire state.

It would be like if you went out with the same beautiful girl all through high school, knowing the whole time she was slightly out of your league...but she was faithful to you, and you were happy, although you were always a little nervous that she might dump you one day. Then one day during your senior year, she gets up on stage in the auditorium, in front of the whole school, and announces that she's dumping you for the star quarterback.

As a Heat fan, of course I'm glad Miami got him...but as a sports fan in general, I was disappointed in the way he left Cleveland.

That's Cleveland, always the brides maid, never the bride.
