Just picked up a 63 long bed, fleetside for my new Shop Truck!

I sold my 87 Crewcab Dually last week, so this past weekend I was out looking for a new shop truck. It was either going to be a 60-66 Chevy, or a 67-72. I really wanted a 60-66 since I've always loved that body style. I looked at 5 different trucks, both body styles, and I ended up with the cleanest and most complete one out of all of them. I think I got a good deal on her as well considering everything thats been done, and the condition she's in.

Definately needs some things here and there. plans are to do full air ride, fix the body where the little chips and small dings are, and do a satin black paint job, with a red top. Change to 5 lug with disc brakes and get new wheels/tires, add a hitch, and make a new bed floor.

Anyways...enough blabbing...here are some pics.

Can someone tell me what rear end this is? Its an 8 lug rear, so its gotta go.

Since I'm totally into the flat black (I had one myself until the forced sale) I can't believe I'm saying this...I wouldn't change it. It is too nice a truck as it sits, there are many other donors out there for little money that would be massively UPgraded with the flatblack scheme. This one it just too nice...

that would be an eaton ho52 rear.

Finally, someone who can definitively say what that is! I have the same rear end and I've been searching for the answer. I was leaning toward the Eaton but had lingering doubts. What ratio is it, or ratios did it come in?

I just learned something! (Mine will be going too... hopefully.)

The highest ratio would be a 4.10. Then there's 4.56. After that it gets real crazy...
