BFG All-Terrain T/As?

I'm looking for new tires for my '69, and I'm wondering what everybody thinks of the BFG All Terrains. I want something that can handle mild snow pretty well and maybe the occasional mud (it's a 2wd, so I need all the help I can get ). I'm also considering the General Grabber AT2 has anybody used them before?

Oh, and I'm thinking 30X9.5-15 tire size on the BFG and General.

I have General Grabber AT2's on my Isuzu Trooper (and had em on the last one) and I'd rate them as good as the BFG's and cheaper to boot. Excellent in snow too. I run BFG Long Trails on the truck.

Got the 31/10.5/15 General Grabber AT/2's on my Nissan Pathfinder.
They're working just as good & lasting just as long
in the mud/snow as the BFG's.
For a lot less money too.
I bought 5, so I have a full size spare.

BFG A/T's are great tires for all around work. I have used them on various trucks I've owned for years, and currently am running 33's on my burb.

They are great for off road but definitely not a mud tire. They are ok for going through moderate mud/snow, just don't expect them or any A/T tire for that matter to go "muddin" in or in deep snow well.

On the street they are solid performers, and are quiet enough for me that I don't hear enough tire noise to even think about it. I like that they wear well, and last for a long time for me.

THEY WORK GREAT FOR ME. I'D RECOMEND THEM. I'VE BEEN USING THEM ALMOST EXCLUSIVELY SINCE 1979, WHEN I GOT MY FIRST PAIR, & THEY WERE GLASSBELTED. A GOOD ALL AROUND TIRE. JOHN :chevy:

Personally I would never consider any other A/T style tire over the BFG A/T. They handle all conditions reasonably well considering their slow wear. At the rate mine are wearing on my 04 Silverado I should see around 85000km out of them.

Got 'em on my K20 and no complaints, very good all-around A/T tire and pretty good in snow. Haven't had 'em in serious mud, but everything I read says they won't handle mud very well.

BFG 4, General 2. I realize I'm going to pay a small premium for the BFG, but that's what I was siding with anyways. Might try the Generals on my '87, though. Thanks for y'alls advice.
