i just built a 327 motor my first, i kept everything stock except heads, i had them cleaned up and put 1.6 alum. roller rockers on, i was told that if you don't pin the stud there pron to pull the studs out any truth to that. thanks peter p.s. i did go 10 over to clean up cylinder

All depends on your spring pressure. They are known to pull out with heavier than stock spring pressue. Pinning is a good idea but if your going to rework the heads then I would have them machined for screw in studs. Pinning you can do yourself with a drill and the correct pins. But its reccomended that they be off the engine
