Before exterior pics, 1 After interior...
Well my ece 4/6 drop is here, so i thought I would post up a before pic. Not sure how much drop it already had because it was there when I bought it.After pics of the drop hopefully tomorrow. The after of my new seats. The upholster shop kinda messed up by adding foam to the back of seats so they don't look exactly as they should, but oh well. Its just a driver..

Re: Before exterior pics, 1 After interior...
How much the 4/6 drop kit run? I would like to go 4/6, but I have been thinking of saving money with a 2/4 and using the extra cash on interior.

Re: Before exterior pics, 1 After interior...
It depends on where you get the kit. IIRC ECE was abour $800.
Check out Early Classic Enterprises; top notch kit with not hidden surprises and excellent customer service. |
Re: Before exterior pics, 1 After interior...
72BLCKButy can you measure from the center of the spindle to the top of fender well for me. I am at 14 1/2 inches and ece tells me I am lower than a 4" inch should be. They think maybe I got a 2" spring packaged in the wrong box. It is way lower than I expected it to be. I like it, I just don't want alignment issues and such. If I am at where your 4.5 is, I am ok with that. They will send me a new set of springs, but I don't really want to pull it all back apart all over again. I am an lower than your after measurements in you build thread as well. I should be a half inch higher I would think.

Re: Before exterior pics, 1 After interior...
I am at 27" from level ground to top of fenderwell. Thats over an inch lower than most. ECE doesn't know how this happened and will be more than happy to send me another set of springs, but it took me two days to install just the front end. I am also not to keen on beating on my new spindles to get the ball joints back out. Ughhhhhh! Just my luck.

Re: Before exterior pics, 1 After interior...
Bad pic, but I didn't get it buttoned up until 11pm. I will post better pics tomorrow. Way lower than I expected. Not so easy of job for 1 person. Not difficult as far as knowledge, just tough for one person. The truck def needs a bath to get all the oily fingerprints off. 72BlckButy and Lolife99 made this job WAY easier for me! Thanks guys.

Re: Before exterior pics, 1 After interior...
 Now get some better daylight pics for the ultimate approval.

Re: Before exterior pics, 1 After interior...
Complete after... Except for washing to remove greasy fingerprints and alignment. Front wheels and tires aren't going to work. If anyone wants to trade my 2 15x8's for 15x7's or 6.5's, let me know!!! Although, I am thinking Coys might be in the very near future!!!!!!http://i127.photobucket.com/albums/p...y/IMG_1436.jpg

Re: Before exterior pics, 1 After interior...
Looks great. Coys would be great on there! I am looking at a truck like that in VA. If I sell my blazer and it's still available i'll pick it up and drop it with big wheels...

Re: Before exterior pics, 1 After interior...
looks nice

Re: Before exterior pics, 1 After interior...
Looks great...:chevy::metal:
Bigger wheels will make it that much better. Be intresting to see where my ECE 4.5/6 ends up as they all tend to differ a tad. If the front goes down 1/2" more than yours I am gonna need to add a 1" block to the rear and notch it to fit my needs.:metal: |
Re: Before exterior pics, 1 After interior...
I think I ended up with 2" springs by mistake. Mine is lower in front than 72blckbuty's and his is 4.5 front drop.

Re: Before exterior pics, 1 After interior...
Nice truck! Those seats turned out really nice!

They also look alot lower on the 15" rallys |
Re: Before exterior pics, 1 After interior...
First things first.... what a different an attitude adjustment will make. :)
Man that looks good! These inlines are heavy, so I'd say they are comparative to a SB, but maybe I'm wrong. Have you measured from the ground to the center of the wheel well? Also what size tires do you have on the 15x8's? |
Re: Before exterior pics, 1 After interior...
Nate, I am at 14.5 on DS and 14.75 on PS from center of spindle to top of fenderwell. I am running 265/70 on the 15" rallys. My truck has a 350 with air, but didn't figure that would matter much. What is your spindle to fenderwell measurement?
