72 Blazer Gas Tank in a 67 C10?

Will a 72 blazer gas tank fit in a 67 swb - stepside under bed tank without notching the crossmembers?

Thanks for the help.

Nope, spare tire crossmember has to be removed, Bedcrossmember needs to be notch, and then you have to deal with fuel inlet on tank is inline with that bed crossmember. After all that, you still have to deal with a fuel filler location. But other then that, its a bolt in. (yea, right!)

I put a 65 Burb tank in my 67, and I would do it again as to me it was not that big of a deal and with the way I set my tank filler up (in the stake pocket and mods to tank and fill inlet), I am able to fast fill my tank with no issues. It all about carefull planning.

dont know if this is completely right or not but i read on here somewhere that the mid to late 70's camaro's that had the gas cap behind the license plate would fit almost perfectly. maybe someone can direct you to that thread.

Thats the route I ended up going with. It worked pretty damn good. Here is the link to the build I did.
