1969 Project "Sweet Deal* (pics)
Hey guys my name is Corey i am 24 years old from MA,
Id like to share my build with you. I want to post this here instead of the 4X4 section because i plan to make this a show truck. when i was a younger kid i remember this truck living in my town then it went away for about 10 years then one of my friends ended up buying. He has not a bone of mechanical skill. so he just wanted to move it. so i picked up up for a steal $1000 what the truck is it is a 1969 C20 with a small block 327 and sitting on 38 inch tall tires. When i first got the truck the whole bed was completely full of spare parts and trash! http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...s/DSC_1130.jpg I pulled most of the spare parts out of the bed all that was left in was a dana 60 a destoryed tonneau cover and two fuel cells. http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...s/DSC_0013.jpg here is the bed free of leave and water and everything else, I plan on removing the paint in the bed and herculinering the innner bed http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...s/DSC_1137.jpg |

The intiror of the truck is in fairly good shape
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...s/DSC_1136.jpg i pulled the bench seat and ripped out the carpet the carpet was once black and it is now a bleach faded brown color thats going in the trash There are a few spots in in the fllor that are going to need some work the floor and the cab have patches of dynamat http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...s/DSC_1148.jpg the biggest problem i found was where the roll cage was wleded in i have a feeling when they welded the cage they never painted the under side of the truck where the metal was heated and its rusted through ( this is the driver side) http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...s/DSC_1142.jpg (This is the passanger side) http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...s/DSC_1140.jpg |

Re: 1969 Project "Sweet Deal* (pics)
nice looking truck. I would get the outer floor extension piece , and outer rockers, and you should be in good shape from what i can tell. you may need some sheetmetal to patch in other areas. best of luck with your build!
