When you're dancing with your girl and have both hands south of the border...

Sorry, couldn't resist...actually I wondered the same thing after seeing "Fast & Furious", being an auto tranny guy and all...

It is the method of pushing the clutch in to get the trans out of gear, putting it in neutral letting the clutch out blipping the throttle and the pushing it back in and and going to the next LOWER gear. I have heard many different opinions from others about what they "think" is double clutching, but basically it is pushing the clutch in twice while shifting gears. If I remember the reference in The Slow and the Curious it was talking about street racing, which is not applicable unless they like spending extra time pushing the clutch in twice. Personally, I think they should have used the term "power shifting".

Yep, Captkaos is correct!
The common misconception is that "power shifting" is "double Clutching".
Power shifting is QUICKLY working the clutch and grabbing a higher gear without letting off the throttle.
Rev limiters are a good idea with this practice..hehe

Power shifting to me is NOT depressing the clutch...
