More NP 205 and NP208 info please
Im looking to find out what if anything anyone knows about the 208 is it strong enough to take V8 power? does it have fixed yoke addaptors?
Here are my Questions on the 205s. 1 http://67-72chevytrucks.com/board/ubbhtml/smile.gif Are all NP205 Internally the same? 2 http://67-72chevytrucks.com/board/ubbhtml/smile.gif Can a 205 be run upside down? 3 http://67-72chevytrucks.com/board/ubbhtml/smile.gif Can I swap the female 32 Spline input off one 205 onto another 205 with the 10 spline male input? I ask these questions because im considering either reconfiguring the output side on my exsisting 205 so that the front output is on the passanger side instead of the driver side, They look as if the tcase is identical on each half so I think I can pull it apart and swap one side to the other. Or I will simply turn the tcase over and run it upside down to put the output on the side I need. Or finally The solution I most like is to swap the inputs on the two to give me the 32 spline on the one with the correct output. Can anyone answer any of these questions for me? |
Third, 1) Yes
2) No 3) Yes with modifications. You'll have to machine the bearing hole on the 10- spline to accept the larger 32-spline bearing. |
One further clarification, you can swap the 32-spline shaft from another NP205 but not the shaft from the NP208! Call 4XHEAVEN at 1-518-725-1334 for the best info, parts and prices.
