walbro whine

ok i went for a 30mile cruise and my new walbro 255 inline is whineing like hell.
so i took the cap off my new cpp tank and the cap was so under pressure it was crazy and the air was boiling hot. im using the auto vent that came with the tank, and my exaust is cut not far in front of the tank and thats why the fuel is so dang hot i think. anyone had this problem? im runing a 6.0l.

I think you answered your own question. Fuel pumps are cooled by the fuel flowing through them, so if the fuel is hot, guess what the pump is!!!

What do you have for a regulator and where is it?
Where is your return plumbed?

Could be the exhaust heating it up. How big of a cell and how long was it running? Was it just sitting idle for a while or was there movement?

lol yea i did answer my own question, i made a heat sheild in front of the tank with a radiant barrier. i rather not run turndowns on my flows, i hate the dust thaty they kick up and besides it sounds way better. the fuel cooled down and the wine whent away. ..thanks guys.
