will an 90 rear fit my 87

I'm looking at a 10 bolt w/373's for my truck. I have an 87 short bed 2wd and the axle is out of a 90 2wd 5 lug. are these the same width/axle? will I have any issue just swapping these for each other?

from what I heard they are different width's at least for the spring perches where the springs bolt to the axle.

You have to move spring pads and they are about 1" wider
