Factory 1967 windshield rear mirror mount??
 

I'm thinkin' that this rear view mirror mount is not original to
my '67 CST Shortbed?

The black screws are a big clue.

It might possibly be stock. I think the 67's had a unique mounting arm.

I had one just like that in my 67 GMC. I think the real early produced trucks got them. Carry over from 66. My GMC was number 99 built. How early was yours built.

I polished mine and it looks truly custom! They may not have put much thought into em but it is cool. They weigh about 5 pounds without the mirror attached!!!:lol: And you are correct, they were black originally.

Same one as in my 67s, however, they look killer chromed and in a Custom or CST trimed interior. :)

Did they all come in black? I polished mine to chrome and the black was a booger to get off of it.

Yes, all were black with a texture, just like the glove box face.

My 67 has a 3 point mount at the roof with a soft rubber cover. Was this also an option? It looks factory

The rubber covered item is what I have on my '69, so I'm thinking maybe 68-71 on those. The black one in the OP's '67 reminds me of the one that was in my '65's. Could be mistaken...

read this last night and just had to polish mine up to chrome today. turned out really nice i like way better than stock.

Sorry for rolling an old post but damn, I never knew this about the 67 Rearview Mirrors and this is cool

Anyone know if you can buy these aftermarket? Anyone know the dimensions? Doesn't look terribly hard to make.
