79 gmc
 

hello all, im new to this form, i just picked up 79 gmc short box pick up, im curiuos what years of chev or gmc parts are interchangeable, i am looking to find out if a stock 75-77chev grill will fit into my unit,,,,,,,is there a link or web page that i could checkout to find this out, thanks all , sorry if this a stupid question, i am a newbie to this truck and the forum,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,:gmc2:

First off welcome to the board. I too would love to see pics of your truck.
most 73-80 parts are interchangable with little to no modification.. you can use all the way up to 1987 however those parts will need more modification to get them to fit

hey thanks for the info, i will post some pics of the truck, it is a 79 gmc heavy half 350 with a turbo 350,, short box dropped 3 and 5 it has had some new metal welded in around the bottom of the cab,corners , rockers etc,,,new front inner & outer fenders , it looks kinda rat rod style , the guy i got it from painted it flat black , its had a lot of work done , very good base to start from and he on to a new project,,,,,,,,,,,,,,once thanks for the info;)
