New Engine Dyno Results
YAY!!!!!!
I got my new engine dynoed finally. 437HP and 511 Ft lbs hp a little lower than i thought but im not complaining over the 270 that i had. In case you all didnt know i went with a vortec 383, using the aluminum gmpp vortec heads, the gmpp vortec TBI intake, edel cam, scat crank 400 rods new pistons and rings everything worked out real nice. |
Ill get you all pics as soon as possible.

270?!?!? Your complaining about 270???? My lil 305 only puts out 160 w/ 250 torque!!!! Bah! 270.....
|
i stumbled into this part of the board........then i saw the words "dyno" so i had to click. how fast is it, 0-60, 1/4mile, ?
|
lol i'd like to dyno my awesome 305 someday! actually i would just like to burn it but thats another story. someday maybe i will be able to post the same thing you did though...400+hp would be nice....*drool*

what sort of TBI unit supports those type of numbers ? stock ECM with custom chip?? impressive anyway you look at it . I have a 280-290 HP TBI 350 here waiting for a vehicle. DAVE

I too am wondering what kind of TBI supports that much flow and power.
Its a fastburn 383, not a vortec ;) The 437hp is awsome, but that torque is unbelievable! Nice combo. by the way, what exactly does it consist of? |
I'm also curious. It looks like you listed an edlebrock cam...which cam & what are the specs?
Definitely sounds nice. Even if it's not from the rear wheels, it's still pretty stout because w/20% drivetrain loss, it would still be approx 350hp/400+ft/lbs torque to the ground. |
Yeah well those numbers are just the engine, is the stock throttle body with the 454 injectors from a 1990 chevy suburban, also the cam is an edelbrock edl-3702, and pictures are being developed as we speak, sorry dont have a digital camera
