3/4 dually drop

Hey guys!

Here is my dilemma... I want to lower my 84 crew cab 1 ton but I am not sure if I can get away with the popular 6/8 drop (tire rub issues and state law) I was thinking of a 3/4 as that is really the only other option. Anybody perform a 3/4 dropn on a crew cab dually? Pics would be great, thanks!!

Matt! Thanks for the picture, nice looking dually!! That's kinda what I was afraid of, it doesn't look as low as I would like!! Ugh!

Do you have any other angles?

Thanks

Ok, now you have peaked my interest! That's the drop I want to do but there is no option for the rear! The front is easy but in the rear you can get a 4" with shackle and hangers but the next jump is to flip the axle to get the 8.5. I suppose if you bought de-arched leafs you get get 6" but I need to maintain functionality as I am towing a 10'000lb boat with roughly 900lbs of tongue weight!

Are you going with de-arched leafs? Inquiring minds want to know !?!?

i took out 3 leafs on each side i dont tow much with this truck anymore i removed 3 leafs and have the shackles on the 2 inch setting which brought me a tad below 4 inches, you can always add air bags to tow your boat with. IF your boat weighs that much i wouldnt suggest going down more than 4 inches.

With the stock spring pack the boat only dropped the rear 1" when I hooked the trailer to it. I could do an 8" drop and still tow if I keep the stock springs! If I remove some leafs and do a six inch drop then I would definitely need to bag it which I am not sure I want to deal with the hassle of air!

So you did shackles and leafs to get the 4 and your going to do the hangers to get the other 2?

I assume removing some leafs really softened the ride?

well my previous ride was a jeep so anything is smooth next to one of those, but yes it did soften the ride. Drives really nice.
