Instrument Cluster Bezel Color?

1 Attachment(s)
The color of the instrument cluster bezel and the glovebox door are a different color than the rest of the interior metals of the cab; It appears to be a tan or light brown color- Is this normal?

Also the glovebox door button has been broken or jambed since I received the truck and today after I got tired of mopping all the water in my basement:( from the flooding and when it stopped raining for a while I spent some time fooling with the glovebox door and got it open;
Inside believe it or not was the original Owners Manual complete with the Dealer Warranty Card and Pro-Tect-O-Plate stamp shield inside and the Original owners name on the shield also; Kastner Pontiac Olds GMC, Napa, CA

GMCPaul was just looking for these factory colored gauge bezels. I think they might be rare and worth some money. Don't know for sure. Contact him to find out. He's a great guy to deal with. Yours is the Fawn color.

That was mostly on the GMC trucks, it is normal, but I am not sure when they are supposed to be colored, and when they are supposed to be black. Mine has black in it...but then again, nothing is original on that sucker except the front springs.

GMCPaul is looking for the 67 fawn color ones. The plastic in them is actually fawn. The one in the picture is actually chrome plated black plastic with a fawn paint applied. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

Wait a minute...my '72 has matching olive guage bezel and glove box. It is ABSOLUTELY original (I am the second owner, first one was my grandfather and I remember staring at the green glove box when I was 4 in 1976).

I have NEVER seen different colored pieces like on No3Fan4Ever's truck.

BTW, are you now a No8Fan4Ever?;)
