I wanted to share a few photos of my 52 AD project. My father-in-law gave me the truck last year. I'm thinking about chopping 4" out of the top. I'm in the process of replacing the rusted panels.

Great pics new guy, you're coming right along.I'm almost ready to start bolting my 52 back together,I do it in the winter time to stay away from all the critters AND it's too cold for anyone to bother me every 15 minutes

That is a 3.8 Turbo Buick engine out of an 87 Grand National. I had 7 86 and 87 turbo Regal's since the mid 80's. I have a lot of tubo Buick parts taking up valuable garage space.

That's what I thought, awesome cars. I sold my Typhoon back a couple of years ago... now building my '52. Love how quick those turbo's are.

Looking good...
Why did you go with a different bell housing? Is it a scattershield or the tranny wouldn't bolt up to the 6.0?

I did not have an OE LS1 bell housing for my T56 tranny so I purchased an SFI Quick Time bell housing. I'm running an aluminum fly wheel so I though the SFI bell housing would be safer incase something came loose.

Good idea for the bell housing. Many folks don't think about that area when modding their vehicles but it's an area were great attention should be paid to.

This is very true. Not to mention the Quick Time bell housings are slimmer than the OE's in design saving valuable space.

Rust repair is looking good. Do you know how far back is the shifter going to be? Are you using a stock seat or something else?

I am using a late model S10 bench seat that has a factory notch for the cup holder. The shifter will be aligned where the notch is in the seat (cup holder removed); almost like it was made for my application. This is going to work out perfect for my set up.
