75 Years of Suburbans
Hello all,
Just saw this article - not real in depth, and they have a few errors (no big block until 1973?) ... but some cool photos. The 1972 is way in the back...but it's a nice looking one: http://blogs.edmunds.com/karl/2010/0...-suburban.html TT |
Re: 75 Years of Suburbans
Awesome pics and info
It helps to remind people of the obvious sometimes ... burbans have been around a long time. Tho I am one to ignore those other motor companys that tried to use the name. |
Re: 75 Years of Suburbans
Nice set of pictures.
Here's the link to the GM article: http://media.gm.com/content/media/us...24_gm_suburban Still can't see anything talking about big block engines at either link though??? |
Re: 75 Years of Suburbans
Pulled into the local chevy dealer last weekend and saw a real sharp, new burb and took a look. It has some 75th anniversary badges on it. The last look was at the window sticker, 59k?!?!
Wow, I'll stay with the vintage stuff. |
Re: 75 Years of Suburbans
Hi All,
Just followed my own link above...and they seemed to have changed the article - when I first read it they broke down the years and did a brief paragraph or two on updates and such...that's where they said the 1973 models where the first to offer a big block. Seem to be just left with the photos now though - which are nice - but there were even more photo. oh well... TT |
