Gauge Overlays?
Has anyone used gauge overlays with any success? If so, I'd like to see how they look.
A/C control overlays too, if ya got 'em. |

I like mine. I got them from whitegauges.net for about 20 bucks over 3 years ago now.
The heater lighting was an issue until i found a 6" long white L.E.D. strip light from v-leds.com that I hooked up and plugged right into the factory socket with a couple of adaptor pieces of theirs. |

I made my own to use a third gen Camaro tach. The hash marks on the Camaro tach are normally on the outside edge and don't clear the cluster housing on a truck very well.
I have since made an overlay for the speedo too that changed the range so it reads 0 to 90 mph and got rid of the kph markings to clean the look up a bit. Pic is a little dark, it was hard to get a decent shot without glare from the flash. |
Re: Gauge Overlays?
I read a little of the thread about your Camaro gauge swap, and I think it looks totally cool.
I'm considering getting the overlays in the factory black. Whitegauges.net told me that if you put the black A/C controls on top, no light will shine through. I'd like to try putting it underneath the clear plastic to see how that looks. The only concern I have is the lettering is actually printed on the clear plastic... |
