carb question

i have a eldebrock 600 cfm carb....i was wanting to lean it out some for better mileage it is running a bit rich right now, just trying to maximize fuel economy...right now my 84 k10 4x4 is getting better mileage than my 2009 jeep liberty!!!!!

Re: carb question

ok and you still want more mileage? Anyways you need to adjust the idle mixture screws. that way it aint running rich. But have you checked the plugs for sure to know it's rich or just guessing? In order to tune it right you need to make sure the timing is right and get a vacuum gauge to properly tune the mixture for max. vacuum. That'll get you as good as it can pretty much.

But do you run big tires? know your gear ratios?
