Another new guy

I figured I would use my first post here to say HI. I have always loved the '67-72 trucks. I haven't had one for close to 10 years, but my current one is my eighth. It was my uncles old truck. Its a '70 that he had owned since '72. It had been sitting since he had a stroke ten years ago. I had to cut down several trees to get the truck out of its hiding spot. Its a long bed 1/2 ton that still has its original 350/4bbl, and automatic. I cleaned out the fuel tank, put in some fresh gas and a battery, but no start. New points, and it started! It was barely running, but it ran. New plugs this weekend, and its running great! I added a couple of quarts of tranny fluid and I'm driving around the farm! I'll have to learn how to show pics so I can share them with everyone here. I've already picked up my new rockers (inners and outers) and cab corners. I am thinking of lowering it, a 5-lug conversion, and front discs. I have already moved this project to the front of the line. I think the next task will be to get the passenger door opened. I had it open once, but the latch seems to be frozen now. Anyhow, I have been enjoying seeing everyone elses projects here, and I look forward to participating in the forums.

Welcome from norcal! Easiest way to post pics is to download them to a website like photobucket, then copy the IMG code from the website and paste it anywhere when you post on here and it will show up as a picture after you submit.

Thanks for the welcome, everyone! I am sure that I will be asking plenty of questions. I have owned several of these trucks, but its been an awefully long time since I really did much work to one. I guess most know how it is, the family and job use up lots of time. :)

Welcome from Missouri.

I found this place shortly after I bought my old bucket.

And yes it's still in a hundred plus pieces at the body shop.

So good luck with your truck and by all means post up some pictures!
