Wider stock style wheels .... on the Cheap ?

Where would I look to find a stock looking 6-lugger ??

Looking for a 15X8 in the back, and mabey a 7 in the front...

Wanna run a radial whitewall this time .. not a bias ...

Although, I love this look :

Most people don't like the price of aftermarket steelies.

Chief, there was a set of 4 for sale in one of the classifieds sections (6x-66 or 67-72).

You could send your stock wheels to Stockton Wheel and they will replace the barrels with whatever width, and backspacing, you want.

I would also avoid Stockton Wheel if there's another possible source.

I purchased wheels from them because they were the only place that had what I needed. I knew going into the deal that they were 'known' to be behind on their deadlines. They said 4 to 6wk estimate on the build, I started calling @ the end of week 6..... they hadn't even started.

After that, like many of those within that linked thread from the HAMB, I got the exact same stories that multiplied the frustrations: they're working on them now, they'll be finished by the end of the week & ship out then, they're waiting on materials, their computers are down, etc.

I ordered them (2 steel wheels) the 1st week of January & received them in May.
They are cool though . . . .....

I'm aware of Vintiques and Stockton ...

Just wanted to throw that out there,

Yeap ... that set-up went with the Rock-a-Billy ....

Those were just stockers of wife's cousins '69 ...

Painted then Engine Red, then addd the Denman G78-15's

I guess they went out of business, too bad cause I got those for $100 a piece. Loved that WWW !!!

What I really wanted to do is run a 10" rear wheel, but my speed-shop buddy informed me that its hard to get a whitewall for a 10 incher.

John if you can find someone with an old brake lathe, they can cut the centers out and weld them in a differant outer rim, did that some number of years ago.

John, check these guys out: http://www.rallyamerica.com/ . Gary and his son run the business and are great guys to deal with who stand behind there products and have a super fast turn around time. They can take the wheels that you provide, cut out the center and install a new barrel for a very reasonable price - I had a pair done for $80.00 a wheel (this was for 10" wide barrels and was done 2 years ago). Or they can build you a custom set shipped to your door without you providing anything other than a method of payment and a shipping address. MUCH better than Stockton Wheels or Pete Paulson (Paulsons stuff used to only work with the center caps he offered, factory center caps wouldn't fit - don't know if that's changed or not).
