Radio Questions
Am trying to see if a couple of old radios work. Of course, there's no plug under the dash, just the part on the back of the radio where the plug is supposed to go. Looking at the rear of the radio, does anyone know which of the 3 contacts are what? Am assuming that 2 of the 3 are for the speaker, one is the hot one and the ground is through the dash? Thoughts?

Re: Radio Questions
Looks like we need to know the layout of the pins on the back of the radio.
Anyone got a pic of it I can save for my 'archives'? |

The connections are (from left to right as you are looking at the back of the radio) Ground/black, Speaker/green & Power/red. Here's a picture of a speaker with the factory wiring that plugs into the back of the radio.

Re: Radio Questions
Thank you. I used a plug from a 72. They're the same. The good news is that one of the radios works fine and the other caught on fire. Started to smoke when I turned it on...had that awful electrical burn smell in my shop all weekend.
