71 BZR on late model 2wd chassis. Is it feasible?

Hey Guys, I am starting on a 71 Blazer that is currently 4wd- I want to run an LS engine and make it 2wd and was thinking it may be easier just to buy a donor GM truck with LS and just do the frame mods and use the truck chassis also. I was thinking of '06 or later year model and would like to have a manual tranny. Anyone researched this? I can do the eng/tran swap into stock frame, but would be nice to have 4wheel disc and late model suspension components.:smoke:

There was a crew cab PU on a late model frame. They used the late model dash on the interior too.

Search with retsin, two mints in one. First question, how much are you willing to pay? Second, how much are you willing to pay? Third, how much are you willing to pay?

Things to consider.
wiring, lots of it.
fabrication
reasonable budget(high)

youll probally have to shorten the chassis and build a bodylift which will probally make it look like a 4wd again plus more work

your best bet would just take a stock frame and convert it its relatively simple

I was just considering the options, but that wont work for me. I like mine scraping up possums and stuff off the road!

I'll use the blazer frame and convert it as you suggest.
