De-badge

Hey guys! I roll an '07 Sierra NBS. What is the best way to de-badge the pickup? I would like to get rid of the door protectors first and foremost. Then perhaps some of the emblems. What do you recommend? Heat gun? Fishing line? Big hammer?! :smoke:

I dont normally post here but I saw the thread on the main page. I use a plastic cooking spatula. I have tried fishing line and disposable plastic scrapers, but the spatula works great. A 3-M urethane eraser wheel on a drill gets rid of the rest of the glue.

Do you use heat to loosen the glue underneath with the spatula or just take to it without? Also where can you get a 3M eraser wheel at?

No heat. Just start at a corner and work the edge of the spatula between the adhesive and the back of the emblem. I get my eraser wheels at a body shop supply store.

Hey, I'd like to see this when you're done. Could you post some pics when you get it whipped?

You bet, I will post pictures. I just gotta get this silly work computer to working again. I only have a couple though. :waah:

That's pretty sharp. Thanks for the pics!!

Goo-Gone is awesome stuff. I used a heat gun to get my Z71 stickers off, then used Goo-Gone to get the glue that didn't come off with the heat gun. Worked like a charm.
