Newby in North 'Bama....
I recently picked up this '68 K-10...it has a 90's 350, 4spd grannylow, 205 transfercase and 3.73 gears. It has been retrofitted with powersteering pump and box and also a power brake booster.
I am attempting to make this a safe, dependable off-n-on daily driver, boat puller, firewood getter and so on. Other than spindles (and related parts), what is needed from a donor to make the disc brake conversion. I plan on purchasing one of the matched booster/cylinder/prop valve set ups for the disc set up, just need the ideas on the lower end. I will eventually change it over to a turbo350 automatic, but that is after I get it to stop and steer safely. Thanks in advance for all the knowledge that will flow ! Welcome aboard the board.
Disc brake conversions are fairly common. The folks over in the suspension & brakes section can more than likely answer any question(s). |
