soft top questions

I purchased a used soft top for my 70 blazer. I believe it is a bestop tigertop but am not sure. I have it mounted but do not know how the the bars that go to the windshield frame and just behind the doors mount. I assume that there are supposed to be brackets but I don't have them. Any pictures of these brackets or an alternative would be great.

PM me your email address and I'll send you a PDF of the install instructions. They just have line drawings but it will give you an idea of what/how it should be.

Hey Bouncy, thanks for the insructions. I see now that I am missing the brackets that mount to the windshield frame and the tracks I have no longer have the loops built into them to mount the upright rod behind the doors. Does anyone have pictures of what these look like so I can attempt to make something up?

You might try contacting Bestop to see if they have any replacement parts still around.

I emailed you, but thought I'd post here too so if others were interested.

This windshield bracket came from some random piece I found while wandering down the plumbing & electrical fitting aisles at Lowe's. I just had to drill out the hole for the rod to slide through.

I went to home depot got some door hinges for regular house doors cut them up and drilled out the loops to fit the bars then drilled some holes and mounted them, bars fit in great and you can take them out easily alittle bit stronger than just an L bracket.

Here's a link to my install from a couple years ago when I put my Tigertop in. Maybe some of the photos in there will be of use.
